Portable macro photography light
PCB updates and firmware development for a portable battery powered light designed to provide controlled illumination for macro photography.
The brief
The project involved developing the electronics and firmware for a portable battery powered light used for macro photography. Denotec was brought in to update the existing PCB and develop the firmware needed to control the revised hardware.
The constraint
The product needed to combine battery operation with precise, reliable control in a compact portable design. The electronics also needed to integrate cleanly with the existing product while maintaining the functionality required for practical macro photography.
Our approach
Denotec updated the PCB design to meet the revised requirements and developed the firmware for the updated hardware. The hardware and firmware were developed together, allowing the behaviour of the controller to be tested and refined alongside the electrical design.
The outcome
The updated PCB and firmware were integrated into the product and validated as a working system. The resulting electronics provided the control and functionality required for the portable macro photography light.
