The brief

The project involved developing a proof of concept system for remotely monitoring underground natural gas pressure gauges. Denotec developed the firmware for a network of camera based monitoring devices designed to capture gauge readings without requiring direct access to each gauge.

The constraint

The system needed to support monitoring across distributed devices where conventional wired connections were impractical. The firmware had to coordinate camera operation and wireless communication while providing a practical foundation for remote collection of gauge information.

Our approach

Denotec developed the proof of concept firmware for the camera nodes and mesh communication system. The software was structured around capturing the required gauge imagery and communicating the resulting data through the network, providing a basis for evaluating the monitoring concept.

The outcome

The completed firmware enabled a functional proof of concept for the mesh camera monitoring system. The system demonstrated the core technology required to capture and remotely communicate images of underground pressure gauges.
