Fuel price display controller
A dedicated controller for a fuel price display, covering requirements, electronics design and firmware through to an installed working unit.
The brief
The project required a dedicated electronic controller for a fuel price display. Denotec worked from the initial requirements through to a complete hardware and firmware solution, with the controller required to operate reliably as part of the finished display system.
The constraint
The project had to be developed around the requirements of an existing display system while keeping the implementation practical for manufacture and installation. With the product details covered by an NDA, the published project focuses on the engineering work rather than the underlying application or system architecture.
Our approach
Denotec began by gathering and translating the product requirements into an electronics architecture. We then developed the schematic and PCB, followed by the embedded firmware required to control the unit. Hardware and firmware were developed together so that the complete controller could be tested as a working system.
The outcome
The finished controller was built, integrated into the display and installed as a fully working unit. Denotec delivered the electronics and firmware required for the completed system, taking the project from initial requirements through design and development to a functioning installed product.
